Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Julia Pax?

I am a storyteller and author focused on the intersection of modern life and the unseen world. While I have a background in clinical psychology and a career in marketing, my true passion lies in documenting the personal stories of the unexplained that so many of us experience but rarely discuss. I view myself as a rational skeptic turned believer—someone who values science and logic but has lived through events that defy both. My writing is dedicated to bridging the gap between the material world and the spiritual realm, helping others navigate their own journeys with courage and authenticity.

What is your main mission as an author?

My mission is simple but urgent: to "let the secrets out." For too long, people who experience unexplained phenomena—from precognition to near-death experiences (NDEs)—have been silenced by the fear of being labeled "crazy." I aim to create a safe, validating space for people to explore these moments without judgment. By sharing my own paranormal encounters and the stages of my spiritual awakening, I hope to empower you to share your stories. I want to foster a community where we can find spiritual healing through shared truth rather than suffering in isolation.

Why do you write about spirituality and the unseen?

I write about these topics because they are my lived reality. For decades, I navigated a dark night of the soul, hiding my experiences with the paranormal because I didn't think they fit into a "normal" life. I viewed silence as a safety mechanism, but eventually realized it was a form of self-inflicted violence. Writing is my way of processing these events and finding my authentic self. I believe that spiritual experiences are a crucial, under-discussed part of the human condition. They deserve to be investigated with the same honesty and curiosity we apply to any other aspect of life.

What are your books about?

My books explore the fascinating, often messy intersection of our everyday physical reality and the spiritual, unseen world. My debut work is a spiritual memoir based on my personal journey, but my broader mission is to create a library of spiritual non-fiction. I write the books I wish I could have found when I started my search—collections of knowledge, research into mythology, and investigations into unexplained phenomena. My goal is to curate the information that helps readers navigate their own path without having to spend decades searching for it.

Is your writing fiction or non-fiction?

My work is strictly non-fiction. My first book is a memoir detailing my real-life paranormal encounters and spiritual awakening. Moving forward, my books will serve as guides and investigative collections grounded in authentic experience and research. I plan to write at least 22 books, and while the formats may vary from narrative to informational, they will always be rooted in the truth of the unseen world.

Why do you often write from the perspective of a 'skeptic'?

I write as a spiritual skeptic because that is my authentic experience. I am not someone who blindly accepts every ghost story I hear. My rational mind is often at war with my intuitive development, constantly asking for proof. My work details this internal conflict of logic vs. faith. I show how I navigate unexplained phenomena with both curiosity and doubt because I know many of my readers feel the same way. We are the people googling "science of spiritual experiences" at 2 AM, looking for answers that respect our intellect.

I'm a spiritual skeptic. Is your work for me?

Absolutely. In fact, my work is written specifically for you. As someone who walks the line of analytical spirituality, I share my doubts candidly. I don't ask you to believe in my supernatural encounters; I only ask you to witness my journey. My books are for those who question the dogma, who look for rational explanations, but who cannot deny that something else is out there. If you are tired of "fluff" and want a grounded exploration of the mystery, these are the best books for spiritual seekers like you.

Who is your ideal reader?

My books are for spiritual seekers, spiritual skeptics, and anyone who has ever felt "different" or out of place in this world. You might be my ideal reader if you’ve ever felt a presence in the room, questioned the nature of reality, or felt a deep connection to something you couldn't name. If you are curious about the other side, fascinated by psychology and belief, or simply want to feel less alone in your questions, my writing is for you.

What kind of 'unseen' experiences do you write about?

My writing details the full spectrum of my spiritual awakening. This ranges from the subtle—like meaningful coincidences and profound moments of "knowing" or intuition—to the undeniable. I cover direct supernatural encounters, out-of-body experiences (OBEs), seeing shadow people, and navigating the thinning veil between worlds. I also discuss the confusing reality of precognition and what it feels like to receive signs from deceased loved ones.

Is your writing tied to a specific religion?

No. My work is not tied to any specific religious dogma. In fact, much of my journey involves religious deconstruction—questioning the systems I was raised in to find a more direct connection to the divine. It is about personal spirituality and journeys that exist outside traditional frameworks. Whether you identify as Christian, Buddhist, Pagan, or "Spiritual But Not Religious," my work focuses on universal consciousness and the shared human experience of the mystery.

What do you hope readers take away from your writing?

My deepest hope is that readers feel seen and validated. I want you to finish my books with a sense of spiritual validation, knowing that your own experiences are real. I want to give you the courage to honor your own truth and to stop hiding. Ultimately, I hope my work helps you find inner peace and the confidence to navigate your own path, trusting that you have been guided—and quiet—all along.

Are your books part of a series?

My first book, Quiet All Along: A Skeptic’s Journey into the Unseen, is a standalone story that serves as the foundation—the "why" behind everything I do. From here, I am building a comprehensive collection of works exploring spirituality, ancient history, and the mysteries of the universe. Think of the first book as the invitation, and the future books as the map to the territory I have spent a lifetime exploring.

What is your first book, Quiet All Along, about?

Quiet All Along is the spiritual memoir that details my deeply personal journey of coming to terms with the paranormal. It is an honest, research-backed account of the unexplained phenomena I’ve lived through—including two Near-Death Experiences—and the struggle to integrate them into a normal life. It explores what happens when a skeptic stops being silent and finally decides to embrace the mysteries of the universe. It is a story about moving from fear to freedom.

Did you use AI to write this book?

Every story and concept in this book comes directly from my own life and mind. However, I believe in using the best tools available to ensure a high-quality reading experience. I used AI as a digital assistant for research organization and line editing. After that, the manuscript was polished by a professional human editor to ensure it captures the true human nuance of my voice.
